Specific for women, these focus on issues relating to emotional, spiritual and physical elements. The Foundations for Peace When our foundations, (sleep, rest, relaxation, play, eating, hydration, intimacy) are full and high the spirit is less agitated. When the agitation is soothed the opportunity for peace arises. In this class, we discuss how to keep the foundations full, much like your gas tank. Our Basic Human Needs and the Chakras Each of the Chakras are linked to a basic human need (certainty, variety, significance, connection, growth and contribution). In this class, we discuss and move through the chakras as they deal with our needs. Learn how to meet your own needs at a very high level. The Kryptonite of Women; Fear, Guilt and Shame We fear failure or the unknown, the guild we experience because we are angry at being angry, and the shame of allowing ourselves to be who we really are. This class uncovers how we self sabotage our success and happiness. Women are powerful forces. An Inquiry into Pain - How Can Pain Be Useful? Change is inevitable and without it we wither and die. There are two ways to approach change, pain or opportunity. What if pain is not a punishment for something you have done but a mechanism for growth?. In this class, we explore point of view and how resistance to change prolongs pain and leads to suffering. Teaching Methodology This class is for teachers or anyone looking to communicate more effectively. People learn differently as a result communication should be fluid enough to translate an idea from one person to another. In this class we will engage ALL of our senses to relate to one another, effectively. Business of Yoga A basic and easy to follow class on how to make your yoga business more profitable. This class will have you thinking outside the box and using simple tactics that you probably already use to promote your classes, retreats and workshops. Arm Balances and Handstands for the Invertedly Challenged Nothing is more powerful than the accomplishment of standing on your hands. The act along is beneficial for the heart and relieves stress and pent up distructive emotions. In this class we will gradually address the fears that come with inversions and take a systematic approach to “changing your perspective”. Tools for Yoga Flow Flow Yoga or Vinyasa is a popular style of teaching these days. It can also tear down the body through misalignment and lack of body awareness. In this class, we will discuss and practice proper alignment and musculature involvement for chaturanga, backbends, basic warrior postures, downward dog and many others. Once you understand the function of the pose we will link them together and create a warming flow. Feel the difference in your practice during a restorative savasana. |
